Basic principals of food safety designed for all food handlers not previously certified. Verify with your local health department to see if this training is accepted. This course does not replace the ServSafe® Managers Food Safety Certification which is mandatory in Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Kentucky, Georgia and North Carolina (To qualify for extra 2 point on health inspection).

What is the ServSafe Starters™ Employee Food Safety Classs: The ServSafe Starters™ Employee Food Safety Class course designed to provide food service workers with a basic knowledge of food safety best practices.

Who Should Attend: All non-managerial food service staff. This course will provide your staff with basic principals of food safety, designed for food handlers with no certification.

How long does the certification last: This course does not provide certification. However each student will receive a certificate of completion.

What material do I receive with the course: Each course participant will receive the ServSafe® Starters Guide. This booklet is the perfect training tool that gives managers an effective way to share key food safety concepts with hourly staff. Streamlined content enhances learning comprehension, while activities, exercises and quizzes reinforce lessons. It includes updates to the 2009 FDA Food Code and a certificate of completion to recognize participation in food safety training. This information is a valuable post-training reference.
