The National Registry of Food Safety Professionals develops and maintains certification examination programs in the food safety profession. National Registry is recognized internationally by the food service industry for its tests and service delivery standards and practices.

The Certified Food Safety Manager examination is accredited by the American National Standards Institute under standards established by the Conference for Food Protection. That accreditation makes National Registry’s exam acceptable in all states and jurisdictions that recognize those standards set by ANSI and CFP, and is an assurance of quality in the development and maintenance.

Class Details:

  • Class Size – 8 people minimum, 35 people maximum
  • Before Class – Please take time to review the study guide, take the pre-test and review the video’s prior to class. Some of the information will not be covered in class that will be on the test and is in these items. A web link will be provided to you for this information to download/view upon after conformation of payment is received.
  • Time – 9:00am – 6pm Lecture, 5:30 – 6:00pm Review, 6:00 PM Test/ReTest (If you are doing the online express test make sure you bring your laptop with WiFi)
  • Food & Beverage – Coffee & Soft Drinks all day and 45 minute lunch break around 1:00pm
  • Books & Test - Will be given out the day of the class. If you have your own books please download & print out the new 2009 FDA Food Code update to the 5th Edition – Download Link
  • Class Language – This class is taught in English. Test are available in English, Spanish, Korean, Vietnamese, modern and traditional Chinese, Arabic, and Japanese.
  • Books:

    The NRFSP Food Safety Fundamentals Book (English) is optional and is not required to take the class or test. Class price does not include a book and must be purchased separately. We provide an only study guide and practice test via internet download at no extra cost. Study Guide is in English.

    Food Manager Safety Certification Classes

    LOUISIANA REQUIREMENT:

    One certified manager is required per establishment, certification program requires the passing of a CFP exam. Training Minimum of 8 hours ( 6 hours of training and 2 hours of testing) and valid for 5 years.

    Instructor have to be approved through the state of Louisiana and have obtained the state of Louisiana sealed certificate. Applicants must complete the following and obtain approval prior to conducting food safety training in Louisiana. Please submit with all required documentation to DHH/OPH Center for Environmental Health Services. 1. A Food Safety Certification Program application. 2. A Food Safety Instructor application. Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals Center for Environmental Health Services has approved HRBAudit to train and proctor ANSI-CFP programs in the state of Louisiana.
